Turnstone Big Lamp

The Turnstone Big Lamp was inspired by the natural human behavior in open, public spaces.  While doing observational research, I noticed how people gravitated towards architectural items within the space; such as a wall, planter, column or cafe table with an umbrella.  The Big Lamp is the office version of the cafe umbrella.  The Big Lamp creates a room within a room that allows a company to drop informal meeting spaces wherever they like.  The Big Lamp is a crucial part to the Campfire collection and won the Chicago Anathema Good Design award in 2010.
